SpaceV transfers its multilevel adaptive greenhouse technology from the ground to space. Their greenhouse increases yield per volume significantly, and efficient control of required energy and water resources results in significant cost savings. Onboard organic waste recycling and the effectiveness of various cultural substrates are the subjects of continuing research. These problems are avoided in their greenhouse by gradually altering the volume made available to each plant in accordance with its stage of growth.
