CHITELIX is a Tunisian biotechnology startup pioneering the transformation of marine waste—such as invasive blue crab—into high-performance biopolymers, notably Chitosan. We turn ecological threats into sustainable inputs for agriculture, livestock, and environmental protection. Rooted in circular economy and eco-innovation, CHITELIX develops a new generation of bio-based solutions: Biostimulants and biofungicides for healthier, chemical-free crops Natural feed supplements rich in marine calcium and chitosan to support animal health Chitosan-based water treatment agents to reduce pollution and enhance reuse Our work is backed by scientific partnerships with the Institut Pasteur de Tunis and the Centre de Biotechnologie de Borj Cedria, and supported by international programs including UpLink – World Economic Forum and WeMed – SCP/RAC.
