Eric Halber brings 25+ years– 18 years of patent practice and 7 years as a commercial litigator– of experience which encompasses all dimension of the IP field. During these years Eric worked with many top US law firms such as Sughrue Mion and Phelps Dunbar, and as an in-house counsel with Fortune 500 companies such as Nortel and Pitney Bowes. Apart from this, Eric has been hired by IP professionals worldwide to solve challenges in the creation, management and monetization of patents.
Prior joining GreyB, Eric founded an IP consulting group that worked with small and mid-sized companies where, for more than 10 years, he managed clients’ IP portfolios, IP licensing efforts and overall IP enforcement. Eric was responsible for all incoming IP opportunities and was the first person to be contacted by IP brokers and major corporate sellers of the U.S. and foreign patents. His efforts included assessing the value of IP portfolios, selecting patents and assembling IP portfolios for licensing. Eric has extensive experience in negotiating IP sales and licensing efforts with Fortune 500 companies and liaising with IP investment entities to finance patent purchases
Eric’s expertise lies in identifying and implementing effective IP solutions for our clients in North America and Europe. Specifically, his responsibilities cover client contact, IP project development, IP solutions engineering and client education in the areas of IP creation and monetization.
